Reaction turbine

 Reaction turbine : 

It is mechanical device which conver the hydraulic enerr of fluid into the mechanical energy. With application of reaction force. 

Example :  Francis turbine, Kaplan turbine, etc 










Minimum head of this turbine should be 0 -30 m 

According to head : 

Reaction turbine   : 0-60m  low head turbine 

Francis turbine : 60-180 m it is also medium head turbine

Pelton wheel turbine : 450m above high head turbine. 


. In this turbine, low head and high discharge
