Shaper machine

 Shaper machine : 

It is reciprocating type of machine . The specification of machine on the basis of maximum stroke length . 

In this machine, workpiece is fixed on table and single point cutting tool is movable in reciprocating motion for removing material. 
Single point cutting tool mounted on ram with adjustable knob of tool. 

In this machine there are two process 

 Forward stroke  : in this stroke material is cut on workpiece and it's is move on workpiece. 

Return stroke :  in this stroke, cutting material is remove from slote Or cavity by return stroke. 

















There are some parts of machine 

1. Tool : 

Tool  made of high speed steel and high carbon steel . Tool hold in tool head 

2. Bad (table) : 

it is generally made of cast iron  alloy .
Because of reduce the vibrations of machine. Cast has good dumping and vibrating, shock absorbers property  

3.Ram : 

Tool is fixed on one of ram and other is connect to column. Tool head and feed mechanism system also arranged. 

4. Column : 

It's is vertical part of machine where table and ram is placed. It is also made of cast iron. It is support the body base. body 

5.cross rail : 

It is mounted on the column on which saddle is mount. 
Vertical and horizontal movement by cross rail and also up and down movement. .
